Get Stronger, Tougher, and Feel More Alive Than Ever

We will get you in the best shape of your life – and it's a TON of fun!

Why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Whether you’re looking to compete or just looking for a sport to enhance your life, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a rock solid form of martial arts that our students can’t get enough of. This program has worked wonders for men and women of all sizes and ages, again and again.

BJJ focuses on grappling with an emphasis on ground self defense. If an opponent is brought to the ground, physical strength can be offset through proper grappling techniques.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is about efficiency. It’s learning how to use your body in the best possible way: to take down an opponent of any size. You’ll develop control over your entire body – we’ve seen petite women take down men twice their size; we’ve seen small guys take down 250 lb brutes; and we’ve seen competition fighters reach new levels faster than they ever thought possible.

Safety is a main focus in every class.  We have members from all walks of life and ages who enjoy the physical and intellectual nature of this amazing art.

Supplement Your Training With Judo

Judo is a great supplement to our BJJ program, because it helps you learn how to seamlessly transition from a standing position during a struggle to the ground.  Learning how to fall correctly to break the impact and minimize injury is also taught. From both a physical standpoint and mental, you are taught how to deal with the stress of an attack going to the ground.

Judo helps build muscle memory so that your reaction becomes automatic instead of having to think about what to do in a high stress situation.  Judo training is great regardless of your age, gender or athletic ability.

  • Unshakeable Self-Confidence

It happens every time. People walk into our doors, and amaze themselves at what they can accomplish. Pretty soon, they believe in themselves more than they ever have. You too can become an unstoppable force – both on the matts and in your personal life, too.

  • Motivational Support

Jiu Jitsu is the only martial arts form that you need a partner for – you need a team. You’ll form an unwavering bond with everyone you practice with. You’ll support each other and push each other past any limits you think you have. With your team on your side, you can (and will!) accomplish anything.

  • Lose Weight & Get In Shape

Have some extra pounds that you’d like to see come off? Or just want to feel the energy that comes with having a body in amazing shape? Jiu Jitsu uses every part of your body – which means every time you come, you get a full body workout and those extra pounds will come right off!

  • Learn Real-World Self-Defense

You’ll learn how to defend yourself in real-life situations. Learn how to disarm opponents with knives, sticks, and even guns. Feel confident in yourself, and your ability to protect yourself, and your loved ones.

  • Boost Self Esteem

Your image of yourself will become more and more confident and secure. If you ever felt insecure about who you are, you’ll find those feelings replaced by strength and pride. You’ll have a lot of cool confidence that you carry with you everywhere.

  • Peace of Mind & Tranquility

Through learning how to control your body and how to treat it right, you develop a connection to your body, mind, and spirit – and your life becomes more peaceful. You develop a sense of calm and tranquility. You’ll become more willing to take risks, and no situation will stir you from your confidence.

Dominate Against Any Style of Martial Arts

Students who do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are consistently shocked at how easily they beat their opponents – even those who have been doing it for only a few months. Jiu Jitsu works against any style because hardly any other style teaches you what to do when a fight gets on the ground. You’ll be a master of submission and grappling, and you’ll make fighters go to the ground – and you’ll dominate.

Staff here is wonderful. They are friendly, helpful, and truly have a passion for the classes they teach. Along with the martial arts classes, they also have kick boxing and kettlebell classes on the bottom floor. Definitely a place to check put if you are looking to change up your workout routine or learn Krav. Great classes for kids to learn the basics of Krav Maga and continue on to more challenging classes as they progress.

What can I say? I have been a student here for nearly two years, I started just for a change from the same old gym. Now as I am approaching 50 years old I am in better shape then when I was 30, the instructors are all knowledgeable and just all around nice people. From Krav Maga, to kettlebells, to bjj, to kickboxing it’s just a great place to learn and train.

Lou Fonda

I love this place! Very relaxed atmosphere with intense workouts. Instructors are always helpful and make time for questions and individual attention. If you are thinking about trying out krav or BJJ come in for a few classes-you will get hooked.

Trevor DB

Back where I used to live I took some BJJ classes. I always loved the style but I was never too crazy about my instructors. They seemed really unprofessional and kind of sloppy. I don’t know, just something didn’t feel right about them. But because I love the style so much I decided to give it another shot. I am GLAD that I did. This place is nothing like anywhere else I’ve studied BJJ at before. The guys here are total pros, and they act like pros too. They’re professional, supportive, and very, very good at breaking down the moves so they’re easy to learn. I guess BJJ schools are like anything – there will always be some rotten apples out there, but when you find a good one, you find a good one.

Rob Barry

Let’s not beat around the bush. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a very touchy sport. You grapple, you roll, you wrestle. Considering that 99% of the class is men, this kind of worried me at first. I was worried about getting hurt, and feeling uncomfortable being that close to total strangers. Well, let me tell you, after the first few minutes of my first class, both of those fears simply disappeared! First off, everyone is super, super nice and friendly. They’re just supportive and want to get better and have fun. Second, when you spar with people, they’ll go at your level. If someone has been doing it for years, they’re not gonna go all out on you. They’ll support you and help you get better. Don’t avoid taking BJJ just because you’re a lady! Trust me, it’s awesome! And you’ll lose some pounds too. A nice added bonus.

Lynne Harmon

I don’t know if I’ve ever worked so hard to accomplish anything in my life. I just got my blue belt after 12 months, 1 YEAR, of hard work. I honestly feel on top of the world. It’s like I just got a gold medal at the olympics or something. The fact that going from white belt to blue belt takes such practice and determination makes it so much more special when you finally get there. And when you show up to class in your blue belt, all the white belts know what’s up! After just a couple months I’m stronger, and I look stronger too. My muscles are toned and bigger.

Ryan Mack

When I first signed up, I honestly didn’t even think about weight loss or anything. I just wanted something I could work hard at, and learn self-defense. I didn’t even have a lot of extra weight or anything, but within a few months it’s all come right off. My muscles now show through my shirt, and I can tell that people notice. My abs look good, my arms look bigger and have lines where they used to be just straight, and I feel better too. Even after only a few months, I feel bad for anyone who would pick a fight with me. I’m a peaceful guy, but if push comes to shove, I know I’ll come out on top. BJJ is almost an unfair advantage in a fight.

James Donaldson

Okay, let me start by saying I don’t want to be a pro fighter or anything. I just say that because there are some guys here who do – and I know they’ll get there too. The instructors are just too good. If you want to go pro, they’ll help you get there. I just wanted to have fun, get an awesome workout, and learn some of the kick ass moves I see on TV. Okay, so I’m half-joking, but seriously, I wanted to learn self-defense, and after seeing so many UFC guys use BJJ so effectively, I knew this is what I needed. I’ve learned so much in such a short period of time. Like I said, I don’t want to be a pro fighter, but I can feel that black belt getting closer and closer, and I can’t wait until the day I’m wearing it to class.
