Hey guys, I’m Brittany from CT Krav Maga MMA, this week I’m going to review healthy snack options that you can keep right at your office. So you can get thrown off track, off your diet when you’re just snacking on things. First option is beef jerky, this is a great option to keep around, it’s very high in protein, very low in fat, low in carbs, there’s tons of different flavors. There is also turkey jerky if you don’t love beef, but those are great options.
Another good option are nuts or trail mix. You just really want to be careful when you are choosing a trail mix. I like to do the pre-portioned 100 calorie packs like this one here. You want to make sure when you are eating them you’re only eating the serving amount, because nuts are kind of high in fat, although it is a good fat, it’s still fat. So high in fat, they are kind of high in carbs, they could be high in sugar, so you want to make sure you are not overdoing it or eating too much of the size. You want to go buy the serving size, because you can take a 100 calorie snack and if you don’t measure it out you can be eating 300 plus calories. If you’re going to eat that you might as well have a meal or something a little bit better than trail mix. So great option to have, you just want to really make sure you’re eating the proper serving size.
These dry roasted edamame are awesome. These here are very low in fat, there’s only about four grams of net carbs in here, they’re really filling. The only ingredients are the edamame and sea salt, so these are a great option to have. I really, really like these. Rice cakes are always a good option, there’s tons of flavors. I like the chocolate, but these are a great option to keep around as well. Last but not least, you have protein bars. Now I know they are so many different kinds of protein bars, which is why next week I’m going to dedicate my whole blog to picking an appropriate protein bar. So stay tuned for that, I’ll see you guys then.
